Leupold case question

My son and I both have GX-3i2 Leopolds (the most up to date versions). My model's case has a plastic clip to attach to a bag, and a plastic closure. My son's has a belt loop on the back for attaching to the bag (which really isn't usable). Which case is the current "standard" ?

The plastic is the current, I believe.

 

I have the loop and the magnetic closure, which I believe is older.

Brian is correct, the plastic clip is this past seasons and the magnetic closure is the year before.

I just got the 3i2 model with the plastic clasp cover and greatly prefer the older type magnetic cover. I loved that thing (from my old rangefinder).

Mine has the magnetic closure and I can't imagine how it could be improved. It works great for me. But if you wanted to clip it to your bag, it might require some modifications. I guess it depends on how and where you want to keep it during your round.

I *might* have an extra one of those, at my house in Florida. Leupold sent me a new one, and then sent me another one, when they refurbished my unit.
