How I'm going to become rich

Over the past 3-4 years I've noticed that golf instruction seems to be going in about 359 different directions, so what's one more? I think I'm going to write a golf instruction book complete with color photos in hardback and market the book to golfers of all skill levels.

I'm sure you all unerstand where I'm going with this.

A few years ago the big thing was "Tour Tempo". Your tempo fixes your golf game.

Then it was "Am I a 1 planer or a 2 planer?"

Now it's "Stack and Tilt"

I'm going to go another direction called "Burger and Coke". I won't give away too much but it's a revolutionary new swing that lets you learn how to golf without practice, without expectations and more importantly......without results.

How many new swing "methods" are we going to have over the next five years? Sheesh...they can't all be right.

These swing ideas is why I don't even bother reading into them. The X factor, the swing planes, stack and tilt, I honestly don't buy changing my swing every 5 months because some golf media told me it was the next big thing.

Hey, I got a new one: Its called SWING EASIER: how a slow take-away, a pause at the top, and finally a smooth, gravity controlled downswing will produce longer and straighter shots...ALL WITH ONE TWO WORD SWING THOUGHT.

*practicing for when the cameras come around*

NO NO NO...it's BURGER AND COKE...that's the ONLY ACCEPTABLE SWING METHOD!

How'd I do? :D

I have often thought about writing a golf book based on all of the golf books I already own. I would go into detail how they all contradict each other, and how if you tried to do everything they all wanted you to do at the same time it would look like you were having a seizure. (no offense to anyone) The only problem with the book is that there would be so many footnotes referencing who was screwing up their swing the book would be unreadable.

If you ever wonder how people like Ian Baker Finch, Seve, Chip Beck and David Duval lose their games look no farther. Too much information can kill a swing quicker than not enough. All you really need to work on are:

1. grip

2. posture

3. alignment

4. making a proper shoulder turn and pivot on the backswing

5. swinging down plane through the ball, not over the top, and not too inside out.

6. work on your rythem if things get a little out of sync and you should do OK, assuming you have a decent short game.

Of course a decent PGA pro should be able to show you these things, the problem is they all seem to get caught up in the latest fad like everyone else, probably to make themselves more marketable and then you can really get into trouble. I am speaking from experience, the last time I took a lesson it took 6 months to get out of the funk the guy put me in. I was'nt playing bad at the time, and the guy tried to change my swing because it wasn't textbook, next thing you know I am in a slump and I hurt my shoulder trying to make moves that weren't natural to me.

The best swings are based on a persons natural tendencies, and are tweaked to make sure they meet the basic fundamentals. See Ray Floyd, Lee Trevino, Fred Couples, Arnie, Furyk, etc. etc. etc. None of them have a "Adam Scott/Baddeley, Charles Howell text book swing that seems to break down under pressure.

that's about it, and of course all of these fundamentals can vary from person to person, see Trevino etc. but that is what practice is for, to figure these things out. Everyone is looking for the quick fix.

I'm gonna rent a storage unit and start selling clubs out of it at super high prices. Think of what I'll save in overhead alone?

Don't forget this:

Sweetspot locations marked by Sharpies are critical. I mean, the exact sweetspot could be 1/16th of an inch away from the center of the face. That could LITERALLY mean 1-2 yards. Don't you dare leave those 2 yards on the table. That would not be superhighend.

Other important things you must have;

- A flamed putter

- A really brightly coloured driver shaft.

- Laser etched driver heads

That's what I do. Is that not a good thing?

I haven't had a lesson yet, though I will when I get the cash.

Maybe you can get John Daly to endorse it!

My book covers G.A.S.P (grip, alignment, stance, posture) The proper plane, the takeaway, driver and iron swings. Trouble shots, shot shaping, where the power really comes from, course management..a lot of good stuff. I cover no new swing techniques..just stuff that works. I do have my own section on exercises, and my own course management tips..I just made it so that it is easy to understand, with a TON of pictures..I have NEVER seen this many pictures in an Ebook..if anyone wants a copy, let me know, and when I'm done, I can send you a copy to read, and you can tell me what you think, and give me some suggetions. I accept constructive criticism.

I want to sell this for less than the other books..

How about Burger, Coke, and a Smoke

...there goes the sequel. Kinda like how the X factor morphed into the Y factor and now there's an O factor....I was going to add the smoke later.
