Skytrak online vendor recommendations

Hello all, so decided to see if I can ramp my game up to the next level by buying a Skytrak. Shooting an average of 78 to 84 and would like to get it down to the mid 70's if I can.

My question is what experiences has anyone had with certain online vendors and are they any strong recommendations with going through a certain reseller? Are there any discounts with online vendors for being affiliated with being a member here?

2k is a bit high on my purchase range for the game. For example I tend to go to the used rack when buying clubs. So I am trying to get the most for my money.

I bought directly from Skygolf, and have had no issues with my purchase or support.

Depending on your intentions, and having the right expectations, it is a worthwhile purchase.

The recent introduction of Skytrak's version of Skills Assessment/Combine, I'm excited to work with it when the season ends.

I would suggest using playbetter.com as they have a 60 day test drive period (and I did verify that Skytrak is included in that). So if you decide it is not worth $2,000 after you have had a chance to use it then you can return it for a full refund.

If you contact one of their reps, they can sell you a returned product (fully inspected and most times barely used) for $1600

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I did consider playbettergolf with regards to their return policy. I have been reading some of the feedback on the device in a golf simulator site. There seems to be a very high level of disappointment with the units software and functionality. And customer support is even less satisfying. Not a great start with my research. However most of the reading I have been going on regular golf sites seems to be very positive. Strange.

I would be interested in seeing if a remaned unit carries the same warranty. The was a time I was in the cell phone business and hearing that the reman phones actually performed better than new because they were updated at the factory with the latest updates. Might be the same issue with the skytrak units. Worth a phone call for 400 savings.

Gc444. One question for you. Are you u a lefty and do you have a Skytrak unit? One of the complaints was the unit would not stay in lefty mode. It would switch back to right handed even 10 to 15 shots. I'm a righty so not really an issue. Tying to see if some of these complaints are general or specific to one user.

I did have a Skytrak and really I did enjoy using it, however it became a huge hassle to setup the net in my driveway each time I wanted to hit golf balls on it so I used it less and less and sent it back. That being said it worked extremely well and it only had a problem staying in left handed mode if I switched to another app (check an email, etc.) on my laptop or iPad and came back to it during my hitting session. As long as I stayed in the session it never had a problem with left handed mode. Even then it is a quick fix to pull up the menu and fix it (you know because the red dot moves). Other than that I had zero issues and I hit probably 1500-2000 shots with it and I would highly recommend getting it. If I can get a place in the yard to leave my net up all the time or get a room inside to keep it setup I would not hesitate to buy another one.

Hey all

I purchased the Skytrak through playbatter and everything went smooth. I went with the basic package for starters. Everything went nice and smooth so I just upgraded to the GI package to what that was all about. It's a good improvement and thinking about going with the play and improve package but not quite sure if I need it. The device is accurate enough. I can feel the difference if I flush it and when I don't quite get a good strike and the Skytrak picks it up every time. The distances are what I expected. I have not hit driver or 3 wood yet. It's sits a little closer than I like it to so getting used to that factor. Overall I am happy with the unit and can already start to see my swing taking shape like it does when I start going to the range on a regular basis. Distance gradually becomes easier to achieve and groupings get back to being tighter left to right.

The lag is a bit to get used to. It's about 3-5 seconds before the screen displays the shot. But it prevents you from getting into the rack and shoot mode I see in the practice range. I am currently running off my iPad. I have not set up a screen or projector. Probably went unless I went to the full WGT play mode.

The best part about this is I can get a 10 minute session in and not have to leave the house. Or if I see something on TV or internet that is worth trying I can stop and try it right away..

Overall i would recommend it.
