Hickory Leather Grips New Needed

Where can I get new Leather grips for my Hickory Clubs I intend to play with? What type of glue is used to maintain position on the shaft? Any help would be great.

No glue. Use friction tape, a cloth-like two-sided tape available at most hardware stores, as your underlayment. After wrapping the leather, use a small tack at the butt end of the leather wrap, and of course, whipping at the bottom of the grip to hold it in place.

I'm already familiar with the technique but have some questions for the learned about wrapped leather grip sizing.  I like a fatter grip. One of the hickories in my recent acquisitions has a newish grip on it and it's done "modern-style" with the rough out.  It's fatter too. It may have been put over the top of the original grip. I haven't checked, but I will measure it.  It's about perfect for me. 

I understand that if we cut our own strips, we can purchase various thicknesses of leather. One can change his/her grip diameter with the thickness of the leather. Or one can use tape to build up the grip, as we do with slip-ons. 

Anyone have an opinion on which way works out best/better?  Thanks.

As far as I've looked the strip sellers are selling one thickness, but I can buy leather and have extra for other projects, no problem. I got a box of tacks when I bought the whipping--looks like a lifetime supply.  Wonder how many are in a pound!

I built mine up using three layers of tape.

One wrap the full 14", the next wrap 8" and the final wrap 4" (or something like that) before putting the leather on.

This gave a slight taper and the main thickness was under my left hand.
