Ordered mine two weeks ago. Spoke to them of Friday and they are going to,start building orders this week. Can't wait either. Playing their wedges and absolutely love them.

We had an Edel rep at our CC this weekend and I tried out the single length irons. I was definitely impressed and thought the irons themselves were very good looking. The only concerns I had were the discrepancy in trajectories with the irons; I felt like I would have a hard time holding greens with the 4 irons I hit and the SW was just super high, even when I tried to knock it down. However, it seemed like I rarely mishit one and they felt great, if I could find a way to work around the trajectory issues a little bit I would love to get some. He didn't have a Trackman with him at the time, does anyone have any numbers they could post for their fitting?

We paid a lot of attention to the 4-iron in my fitting as well. We were able to get the numbers so good that I ordered the 3-iron as well. Not something I thought I would ever do again for sure. But it makes sense to hit the 3-iron over a hybrid if possible. Just for consistency.

That review is with a standard set of Edel irons built my someone who either ground them down or used a bunch of lead tape. Also used steel iron shafts. The new SLS01 is so different. It's like apples to oranges.

the sw was pretty high but I didn't spend much time with it honestly since I wasn't going to order it. I will play my standard Edel wedges there. I'm sure with proper fitting you would get that dialed in too

I'm exploring shorter driver shafts now as well through paderson. Seems like it would make sense with shorter irons to have the shorter driver. You know l, hit it 350 like Sergio and Rickie with a 43.5 inch driver. Or that might be talent.

A shorter driver shaft interests me as well. I hit my TEE XCG5 11.5 with a 43.5 inch shaft about as far as I hit a 46 inch driver so I would like to see how a driver with a 44 - 44 1/2 inch shaft would perform.

Yeah we could start another thread on that topic alone. I will be experimenting with it in my epic and adding different weights as needed.

My handicap with typical variable length hovered around 15 my current handicap playing single length is 7.

 

I would credit half of the improvement to single length and the other half to improved playing.

 

For me it just took all the wacky shots out of the round, do I miss greens and whatnot sure. Do I hit wild shots that are dramatically off target, almost never.
