hi just lookin for peoples views and tips for my swing, only been playin about 7-8 weeks so need all the help i can get lol

I'd say your grip. From what it looks like, your the back of your right hand is pointing down at the ground. Instead of seeing your palm when gripping the club you should see your right thumb on top of the shaft along with one knuckle. It won't feel good until you start doing it a couple times but it'll help in the long run.

you have a huge lateral slide with your hips both backwards and forwards. . .try to turn your hips INSTEAD of sliding them. this will get you a more consistent and powerful swing. its hard to say any more than that without a down the line view and a more clear video.

Agreed. But in the meantime, work on weakining your grip, yours is way too strong.

The last thing a beginner needs to be worrying about is his hip movement. Right now he needs help with his setup.

Go see a pro. Since you are so new to the game, you havent developed lasting bad habits yet. It will also help you enjoy the game much more.

Take any suggestions with caution.

You are only 8 weeks into the game and you have the best parts of the swing pretty solid.

You're fluid, balanced and generate some clubhead speed.

Your grip is really strong and I wouldn't even change that just yet.

It does look like you lock your knees out at address, but it is hard to tell from the front.

Overall, if you just keep doing what you are doing you'll be fine!

thanks for that iv seen the pro where i play and he said to move my right hand more around the club which someone on here mentioned about doing, your right about it being weird so its time to practice practice practice :beach:

Yup, he made you weaken your grip as suggested. I switched my grip to more neutral (it was pretty strong) and for a while it felt so weird, but I got over that.

1. I was just messing around with my second post. if he can afford lessons, he should get them.

 

2. he asked for thoughts on his swing. I gave them. his grip is to strong and his hips slide to much. someone else mentioned his grip, so I mentioned his hips.

newbie i know you were playing about with your latter post so now worries i asked for comments i got them its all good.

 

ok so grip im trying and still not getting used to although i not played much cos of this great british weather! the hip thing im struggling on changing so for the time being im stinking to as it is. the"slide" is how i keep everythin in line and kinda accurate, also the extra power you mentioned i dont feel i need it yet (i hit a 3 wood 250+) and to be honest i dont think i could handle swinging quicker than i already do altho im sure my balance will improve in time too!

 

 

going to try and get my swing at a few different angles over the next few days so hopefully bit clearer on where i need to improve.
