First of all, everything I said is completely true... Reading text on the internet will do absolutely nothing to further your success if you don't know how to play the game...

Hopefully I can actually offer some advice.

 

Go to your local golf store and purchase an instructional video, watch it and study it. Try to practice the positions taught on the video. Make sure you have this down before you ever hit a golfball.

 

 

Also, start with putting. and work your way back 1st putting 2nd chipping/pitching 3rd full shots

 

on or around the green is where the money is made.

Talk to the team coach to get info on what's expected. Read the Rules and understand them. If you are new to playing, find an instructor to go through the basics. The coach can provide you all the information you need to get started.
