A humble theory to increase club head speed drastically

Disclaimer: I am not a teaching professional nor aspiring pro....just a poor lad who loves the game and likes to discuss swing theory.

I read a real important tip that, in my opinion, is overlooked by many mid handicappers 8-15 who drive the ball between 230-250 but have the capacity to hit it 280-300. So here are some basic assumptions before this method could really apply to you in my humble opinion.

1. good spine angle 90 degrees, can feel the club head and has no tension in the hands or arms.
2. one piece takeaway with weight accumulating to the right heel in the slot, with head behind the ball.

This tip not only helped me hit it straighter but drastically improved my distance by, no kidding by 40 yards....this is not a secret....i'm sure you've heard this tip before...it's just a matter of re-emphasizing it and really understanding what this tip means. It's similiar to a "skipping a stone" motion except with your lower body initiating the throw and your upper body releasing.

The tip was to begin shifting your weight (primarily hips and left knee) forward right before you reach the top or slot. What i realized in my amatuerish golf mind that I was able create more lag with my body (since i can't do that with my wrists) and able to clear my hips better and preventing blocked shots or over compensating hooks. when i took a couple of initial practice swings, I assumed I was going to hook the ball, but what I realized this tip allowed to get square to the ball with less effort (hands and arms) and allowed me to focus using my hips, shoulders to drive the club through impact. I spent many hours trying to create this lag with my wrists and had no success and I hope this helps out like it has helped me. I think it's important to really exaggerate the forward movement before reaching the top too so you can really understand and feel the difference.

anyhow..i'm interested what the better players and teachers have to say about this, because i'm interested in the technical implications of this method...
