Historic clubs

So I am just starting a collection of vintage clubs to display in my man cave. I would love to find a source for clubs that were used by or the same model as those used by the legends of the 20s, 30s, and 40s. Anyone have any advice on where to find out what guys like Hagen, Jones, Sarenzen and the like played and where to find them? Are there auction houses that specialize in this stuff or other sources?

Collecting clubs for a lot of guys is just rummaging thrift stores in search of old gems in the rough. I would think the internet would provide a lot of information on the clubs used by the past masters. Bobby Jones, I've read, played irons made by Tom Stewart of Scotland.

 

As far as auction houses, Green Jacket Auctions come to mind. High end stuff, only the well heeled need apply, though.

The number of clubs from people like Jones, Ouimet, Palmer, Nicklaus, etc that have been sold through Green Jacket Auctions is rather impressive.
