M3 & M4 irons have face slot problems been solved?

As the title suggest have taylormade solved the issue of the faces caving in on previous face slotted irons with the release of m3 & M4 irons with ribcor.

 

Im seriously considering a set of m3 irons, just wanted to see if anyone has had any issue yet.

I sell A LOT of of everythingTM. and, I know the previous face issues were actually acknowledged (meaning: admitted to) by them to their retail partners. and subsequently M3 M4 has engineering to address it. now, I'm still a realist, and until we have enough sets out in field being beaten to sh*t and battle tested over a long time, then we'll come up with answer to "problems been solved?".

 

FWIW, so far personally have not heard, or seen, of a single issue with any M3 M4 irons.

you're welcome. IMO the M3 is a slick little iron. and a very solid performer. I'd tell you to buy them and buy them with confidence.

I'd look at Kenny's whats in the bag and take note on his almost 100% ping bag which i understand i too am a big ping fan, never been a big TM Iron fan but Drivers are generally good.

I was fitted for and ordered a custom set of M4s on the day they became available to the general public. Took a couple of weeks for them to arrive and when they did I immediately started using them. Found them to be quite enjoyable. I had played a couple of rounds with them and was hitting with them at the range the other day when I hit an 8 iron shot that was a bit toe-y. Looked to see if I could see a mark from the ball on the face when I noted that the face slot was cracked. Probably about the tenth time I had hit with the club since new.

 

I called the warranty folks at TM who immediately thought I was talking about an M2. But I assured them no, it was a brand new M4. The guy I was speaking to said this was the first such report they have received on the new M4s. They said they would build up a new one with the same specs and get it out to me. It is waiting for me to return home from a business trip.

Got the replacement iron via overnight Fedex. Was a perfect copy of the original.

 

FWIW, went out on Monday and shot a career best-(nothing great but good for me). Enjoying the M4 irons greatly.

I recently saw a set of M3 irons in a buddies bag, the 4 & 5 were already caved in... set didn't have much mileage on it.

I bought brand new m3 irons and were hitting them good I'm a single handicap amateur and practice a lot and within 4 months of purchase my brand new m3 irons started to cave in but I didn’t pay attention as I thought i practice a lot but then my 7 iron’s face slot cracked and is now useless I'm really disappointed with taylormade as buying new irons and having them broken within 4 months is very disappointing and its not that i hit them in a hard area or rocks or anything i practice on mats. I wont be using taylormade again or would ever recommend it.
