Question re: Macgregor 600 vs. Wilson 600 putters

I was wondering if there is a significant performance and feel difference between the various iterations of the Mac 600 type putters vs. the Wilson original forged 600 type. Particularly if the Mac Jack Nicklaus Muirfield model or VIP TFP-1 is worth pursuing over the Wilson. I'd like the Mac Ironmaster 600 a lot, but those are generally running for much more comparatively. Are they worth the difference?

Cannot speak to any L/T performance differences between the Mac JN Muirfield and Wilson GeoLow 600. Neither gets much use. Heel shafted blade putters of the style are not my preference. WTS, the nod would go to the Mac Muirfield. Longer blade length, marginally deeper blade height, prefer some sight line assistance, and has the original leather grip. The overall shape of the Mac is smoother in its execution. Simply looks better to my eye, which is always important when it comes to putter selection and use. None of the other putters mentioned are in inventory.

 

Plus, once rolled in a ~40' putt for birdie with the Mac, so it has that going for it. Any other "significant differences" between the variants can only be determined by the operator of the implement.

Thanks for the info. Funny, I've seen the various Mac JN putters both with and without the sight lines. The MacGregor putters of this style just seem so nicely done. I have experimented with other types of putters, but I always return to play a heel shafted model. I'm just seeking one with that "next level feel" but at a price I can manage.
