Edit.....yes the 747P irons, a wedge, driver, fairway, and maybe a hybrid.

Glad to be wrong about this one. JDM is notoriously bad with lefty options, thus my pessimism. Glad things are changing on this front. That being said, it's surprising how few lefty golfers one sees in Japan. Maybe 1 in 50 or so?

Now you mention it, I've hardly ever seen a left-handed golfers on the course here. I occasionally see one at the range, but that's about it. The only lefty I've played with in Japan isn't Japanese.

I guess small children are still "encouraged" to be right-handed?

Could be the lack of equipment? On a popular used site in Japan (GDO) are almost 35k clubs and only 384 lefty options. I think the lack of clubs dictate the handedness of the players. Kinda like lefty lady golfers. Talk about unicorns, when's the last (first) time you saw one of those?

I bought my gf some lefty ladies clubs. They weren't fun to find lol.

I think left-handed people are generally rarer here, and I've heard children are encourage to become right-hand dominant from an early age. In fact, when my daughter was born, in the first few months she was using both hands to do stuff (I suspect most babies are like this). I thought "cool, ambidextrous!" but my whenever my MiL was around, she made my daughter use her right hand. Mrs NCN says that this is quite common in Japan, because so many tools are easier to use right-handed.
