Fundraiser scramble: 11/2/19 @ Habitat in Palm Bay, FL. Raising money for my daughters eye surgery

Hi all,

 

I'm hosting a scramble at The Habitat near Palm Bay (actually in Grant-Valkaria) on Saturday, 11/2/19 at 8am. My daughter needs eye surgery and we have scheduled it for 11/25/19. I'm not the gofundme type, but this year we had our son, had to put a new roof on the house and I also need two surgeries before the end of the year so best way I could think to offset was to host an event. We will also be donating to a local charity for kids to get glasses. ([bevardsChildrenInNeed.org](http://BrevardsChildrenInNeed.Org "BevardsChildrenInNeed.org")) My hope is to continue hosting the event and sponsor another family who needs the same surgery every year as well as provide glasses to kids.

 

We will have prizes, raffles, etc. CTPs, long drives, goodie bags. Its Pirate themed since my daughter is required to wear an eye patch 4hrs a day right now. There will be a 1-eye'd long putt contest to show how important 2 good eyes are for depth perception. Should be a lot of fun, nothing crazy competitive.

 

Its $70/pp which includes 18holes, cart, BBQ lunch, a few tickets for prizes and a goodie bag. The course is a fun layout that bends around a local airport, but you won't see a single house in sight. A great mix of risk/reward holes, easy going and downright diabolical holes. Perfect mix for a scramble. I will probably get 40-60 golfers from work and another 12 friends, but the course has carts for just over 100 so anyone that wants to play, let me know!
