So I bought my first Hoofer...

...and I think the bag is great, but a couple things have me confused.

Its this model here from a couple years ago I think but got it at a great price.

So, according to the literature it has 12 pockets. Twelve...but 7 zippers. Inside these zippers they have these little mesh pockets. I get a couple of them, like inside the large garment zipper there is a clever pouch with a clip for....keys? I don't know. The valuables zipper is NOT lined. But you have the small zipper you see on side of the ball pocket in white. This little zippered compartment has THREE mesh pockets in there...for what?

I'm sorry....I am a little confused where to put my things LOL...maybe a bit too much OCD and knowing exactly where things went in my oolllddd (18yrs?) Titleist bag.

Where am I putting hanging my amphibian (frogger) golf towel? There's no loop or hook and it seems out of place to clip it to the handle.

First world problems I know! Love the bag and how it feels when on (although I only got it yesterday so its been around the house already!), but I guess how does everybody else set up their hoofer??

I use the clip for my keys, pouch next to it for wallet(Unless it raining then move to valuables). Phone in valuables pocket. Towel(I use a players waffle towel)is kept either weaved between irons or on the drawstring loop near umbrella slot. I keep range finder in upper pocket in elastic pouch(Easily the best location for walking of any bag). I keep tees in smaller pocket above the main front ball pocket(Some use this for range finder). In the elastic side pouch I keep sunscreen, bandaids, bug spray, cigar cutter, extra sharpie/pencil etc(I don't always bring all of these things, but they can be well organized when stored here.) I usually keep trail mix bars/snack in pocket next to water bottle slot. Keep extra layers in main side pocket(It does go full length of bag under valuables pocket) I use Vice gloves and store them in the pouch they come in(Extra bonus) in main pocket as well.

It's a great bag. I have the gen before in Grey/Birdie Blue.

I clip my towel and range finder onto the loop at the top.

Waterproof in the big pocket.

In the net in there I have a wrench for the woods, just in case.

When playing a round I have a hard case attached to the clip in the big pocket for my watch - expensive and I can't swing with it on.

Balls in the big ball pocket.

Mini pouches of tees/ markers etc in the pocket to the left of the ball pocket.

The small narrow pocket to the right of the balls, I have a microfibre towel for my Artisan putter just incase of weird fertiliser on the greens.

Put my phone, wallet, keys in the bigger pocket that is lined behind 'Hoofer'

The waterproof pocket is empty. Unless I am playing in the rain. then its the above comment contents.

Sharpy in the pen sliding pocket.

Magnetic pocket is the best one - when practicing I put my watch in there and the AirPods Pro case. When on course practicing I put my found, hit away balls etc. When playing a competition round and walking I put my score card in there. Put the odd chocolate bar in there when walking. This pocket is so flexible and great.

Water bottle in the great handy pocket for it when I am walking also.

I love this bag, onto its third year using it and apart from a little bit of dirt and rubbing on the stand from buggies is perfect. Much better quality over my previous bags and carries lighter than it weighs.

Instead of a towel loop, this model of Hoofer has a thin black strap (half-inch wide by three inches long) that stretches diagonally from the upper-right corner of the pen holder slot to the top of the bag. The strap is intended for latching carabiners and other types of clips onto. It is too short and stretched so taut/tightly against the bag that a towel won't fit through it.

I have this bag. The tangle is real, even if you are careful. But, i dont think this is a better overall bag. It carries nicely, everything has its place, can fit on my clicgear when it is too hot to carry.

i was about to change it last week. But couldnt find something wrong with it except the tangle, which can be annoying. But overall, great bag.

however, i wish i have the 2020 version. It has now a full apparel pocket.

Thanks!, I'm not sure what kind of bag you would have to have to eliminate club tangle all together. The old Titleist bag I had was a 6-way divider and sometimes that too drove me crazy with clubs sticking together. But oh well, fully loaded this bag feels MUCH better on my shoulders/back.

I was about to pull the trigger on the 2020, but couldn't pass up the deal on this one.

Tangle is an overstated issue. It is only when legs are extended. Lift the bag up to release the legs and the clubs fall into place. Not an issue when pushing or riding. Once you have the bag a while you will learn how to put your clubs back with minimal to no tangle. Granted I only use standard grips(3 wraps at bottom)and smaller pistol grips with putters. If you have bigger grips the issue could be a little worse. Bag is 1000X more durable with this style leg mechanism vs the usual exposed. It is easily worth the tradeoff.
