Any fellow WRX'rs heading down to the Doral Publix this week? I'll be there.

I am from Maine....if you qualified for the publix you probably played in the New England junior at New Haven. I came in 4th at that, had a rough second round, but Taylor deserved to win it, any one that can fire 216 in those conditions is doing alright. I just moved to South Carolina at the beginning of this school year, but played all my junior golf in maine, so i know pretty much all of the good new england guys, Grillo, Campion, Fontaine, my good buddy Ryan Gay from maine, Richy werenski from mass, and a ton more.

i should have looked into it before the tournie but being a fellow wrx'r we could have met at new haven. i played for connecticut and came in 8th. I will be joining taylor at URI next year. why the move to SC?

I know I should have thought of it, it is such a great event, I have had the pleasure of playing in it two years in a row. It is really fun to not only represent yourself but represent your whole state at an event. I had a quad on the 17th hole of my 2nd round which put me with a 72-76 total, but it's not a huge deal, I was pretty happy with a 74 on the final round considering the ridiculous conditions. My family made the move to south carolina because my dad got transferred for work, and we just wanted to get the family back together again and it allows me to have more time to practice. The golf is totally different down here though, I am going to look forward to coming to play some new england events this coming season.

im thinking about signing up for Doral today but im not quite sure.....I have been playing really well latley, yesturday i shot 79 really was swinging well.......maybe i will see some of you down there
