Moving To Boise Area (Caldwell)

Ok guys... 

Been working in the area for about a month, but living in the 5th wheel...

Should get the keys to our new to us “mini mansion” by the end of this week...

Moving from about 4 hrs away, so will still be transporting our belongings over the next month or so, but will be looking for a new track to join...

A little history... I’ve been on our MC board for many years (MC Tournament Director) & play anywhere between 0-5 hdcp depending on my time to play... so probably closer to 5 currently...

We have weekly money games set up Fri-Sun every week that are open to all...

Do the clubs in the area have anything similar?

Looking at maybe joining up at TimberStone, or maybe Ridgecrest?

Timberstone is a great track, It hosts all the USGA qualifiers for the state of Idaho. If you're living in Caldwell it would be your best bet. Ridgecrest conditions can be anywhere from great to sub par at all times of the year, I've found the proshop staff can be unfriendly and have deterred me from making the drive out there from East Boise. You can never go wrong with Banbury, (Eagle Rd and Chinden) I also frequent FalconCrest often out in Kuna. 

 

If you want Private your closest would be Spurwing, good track but don't feel it's worth the money.

 

I play in a money game at Warm Springs. It happens every M,W,F. Buy in is $7. Would love to get involved in some higher stakes money games at various courses. We had a money game this spring at Timberstone was $100 skins game. Paid three skins out of 35 golfers.

Just a side recommendation... take the time to drive over to Twin Falls and play Blue Lakes. It's well worth the time and money to get a round in.

You need to know a member to play here as it's a private club. It's a strict policy of no member, No play.

That sucks... I checked website and it seemed like you could play without a member. We always played without one, but we did know some members.

 

its probably one of the most unique and beautiful courses I’ve ever played.
