A Grind irons...looking for insight.

I’m a sucker for JDM irons and A Grind R1 CB has my attention.  They look amazing in the pics with minimal offset, slightly sharp toe and thin top line.  
 

I know absolutely nothing about the brand and was just curious if anyone here has played A Grind and would be able to give some feedback.  TIA!

I owned the R1 CBs for a while. A proper PCB with near zero offset.  Its a fantastic head and I played some of my best golf with it. I was maybe a 9 capper then.  Not the softest feeling but not sure you want that if you want full feedback and want to know where you contact on the face.  A-Grind is great value for money.

It’s an amazing shape.  Anything you can reference it to from a non JDM standpoint from a feel perspective?  I know it’s subjective.  Not looking forward the softest.

 But I do appreciate that soft yet solid feel with my irons.  More dense than soft, if that makes sense.

The only usdm irons I have now and tried in many years is the pxg 0311t and the t**** CNCPT02.  This feels much more solid than both.  Perhaps quite similar to the cally x forged from yonks back.

1025 c. similar to Titleist Blades in feel., but like stated above not the softest.  The company stems from a designer that used to work for another main JDM and started his own gig. Great looking clubs tho

I have a combo set of the R1 CB and MB's and absolutely love the looks and feel of them. I'm neither steep or shallow and would say if anything I can get steeper and in the softer conditions I play in the turf interaction is A+ ( pun slightly intended )

 

They also feel superb!
