Precision Pro Nx7 vs. Nx9

Hello,

 

While SwingU on Apple Watch have been relatively good it's definitely not as accurate and now looking for a rangefinder. Upon research, Precision Pro seems to have really good reviews and budget friendly. 

 

Can anyone share what the main difference between Nx7 or Nx9 are? I'm looking for slope which both have but I can't seem to find much comparison. If it's relatively similar, Nx7 is a really good price.

I recently purchased the new NX7 Pro when Amazon ran it on deal of the day. It is redesigned and definitely uses a different laser technology from the old 7 and the 9. The targeting looks different and it is quick. Actually too quick for my tastes. The way the PP works you press and release for the reading. If I wasn't directly on the flag it picked up other things in the distance and I had to press multiple times. I talked to PP and they think the unit may have been defective so TIFWIW. I returned it and got the 9. I like it better. Feel is more solid and the magnet is a plus. The targeting is spot on and IMO is more accurate. I compared my old 7 and my new 7 to playing partners Bushnells and I was always a couple yards different. The 9 seems to be exactly the same.

For me, the best thing about the new version of the NX7(sold through Amazon only) is the removal of the “mode” button. No more inadvertent turning on slope or changing to meters. I’m not sure if the newer NX9 also removed the button but my NX9 HD and old NX7 have it.

Is there a real difference between the 7 or the 9.. im looking to purchase a new rangefinder!

Just a heads up,  but Precision Pro should be releasing a new rangefinder any day now. In this forum, 

 a Precision Pro rep indicated that their new smart rangefinder would be released in late April. I assume they're a little behind but that it will still be coming soon although I haven't heard anything else about it. I wonder if @Precision Pro Golf could chime in here?

It's available mid to late June. Pre-orders are open. Just placed mine.
