2008 TaylorMade Tour Burner and Tour Burner TP Driver Pics!!!

i've actually been playing mine and i've been pleased with the results. i'm coming from the r7 460 (high spin), so for me, it does what is advertised. i'm getting more carry with an aggressively high launch without a ballooning effect. don't know any specific machine launch numbers, spin numbers, etc., just actual field and range time observation (field time being more important obviously).

 

i like the look at setup; it works for me. i also am pleased with the sound at impact. it's different from their recent offerings as of late.

its kinda funny to go back and read all the negative posts about this driver before being released. And now seeing all the love this driver threads which are out now. Also can't deny Sergio's performance with it at the Players.

Sergio could outdrive alot of people with a shovel, it wasnt the TBTP's doing.

 

BUT yes its a great driver.

I really hope pople will try this driver, I've been looking for a replacement for my Hibore XL and have at last found the answer. Easy, long, lovely sound and you can do what you want with the ball;

 

If you don't like the looks then you probable wear white socks and sandals.

looks like the offspring of a Titleist d1 or tm cgb with either a adams fairway wood or a nike power bow.

 

 

Totally agree it looks like a Titleist D1.

 

Yep, looks like a D1 although a dented in the toe D1, where the chunk is missing when looking at face.

having owned/gamed a 907D1 in the past, i can say the TBTP looks, sounds, feels and, most importantly, performs much better for me...no comparison really.

Hi, I have a question. I just bought a Taylormade Tour Burner TP on ebay.

My question is the face. Mine does have the yellow and red TP on the top and i do have the Diamana white stiff shaft. But the face is metal color (silver)

I've been doing a lot of looking around and I thought the tour burner TP was a black face and the tour burner was the silver.

It says on a couple sites that tp compared to the tour is that its a titanium face and the basic is steel.

Hello there, I have the same spec TBTP as you and they all have the silver/grey face. I have looked at numerous ones in pro shops and they are all the same.
