O.k. I appreciate marketing actually. Good, bad, indifferent. I'm confused by this one though.

Tour Burner TP.

Does that mean that the Tour Burner is not actually a made for Tour Driver? Only the Tour Burner TP is Tour Preferred? Why name both "Tour?" Is the Tour Burner TP an actual Tour Authentic driv. . . er, uh, oh yay, wrong company, different "Tour" marketing. I wonder, by the end of the year whose "B" will be more recognizable, TaylorMade's or Bridgestone? I need some more Advil.

Let me correct myself...the pic I saw was actually a side by side with the new CGB max limited. The CGB limited does not look so bad shapewise but it is still that darn color.

I guess this makes it easier for me to pull the trigger on the Mizzy driver!

Just hope I can resist when I see this new burner in person and hit it.

thank you for the pics!

wow, lots of people are unhappy with the look of the new club. personally speaking, i can't wait to bag one. i skipped the last few releases of tm drivers (superquad, burner, cgb) because i didn't think they were worth it, but this one looks promising.

just trying to be as objective as possible, but, wow, how can this club look any worse than the current burner? you guys actually prefer the busy graphics on the crown of the current burner than the solid grey color crown? i'm surprised. i didn't like the current burner because of the graphics and ugly sole. i like the simplicity and geometric shape of this one.

I was really turned off initially to the Burner TP's crown graphics. Thought they were "busy" and that they would be distracting. They really are functional and do an excellent job in aiding alignment. While they are anything but traditional in looks, they at least have a function. Ended up loving the Burner TP driver so much, I got the 3 wood to match.

Again, this new version makes me a little queasy to look at it, but I'll have to wait to hit it. Silver paint looks "different for different's sake" to me. Initially, on looks alone, I am not a fan of this new version. We'll see if I eat crow again.... :man_in_love:

Probably a great driver. Any better than the older burner? The superquad?

Just another facelift on a simular driver. Change the shape slightly and put some makeup on it so people think it is going to perform differently. I have to stop looking at all of this.

I could also wait about 2 weeks to fins a "Tour issued" one on ebay for 1,000.00 and gets gouged. Or not. Wait 2 months and get the same thing for 375.00.

I totally agree. I too said I did not like the 07 Burner when I first saw it, but it grew on me and it performs better than any other driver I have ever had. This one just doesn't share the same style as the first, and in my opinion should have been named the Burner CGB MAX since it shares more of its style than the 07 Burner (triangle shape, no crown graphics, etc.).

And just what is with the 'tour" name if your going to have a TP version also? What is it going to be called; the Tour Preferred Tour Burner or is that the Tour Burner Tour Preferred?

Oh shoot me now. The "Tour Burner TP Tour Issue" and the elusive "Tour Burner non-TP Tour Issue."
Let the spin machine down the dial begin.... :man_in_love:

In other news, a video of Jesse Ortiz talking about his design of his new driver, which is also triangular in shape. (6 minutes, so grab a Snickers.) They've been feeding us square when they should be feeding us triangles? (The Ortiz driver looks pretty snazzy in the clip.)

The looks really don't bother me with the new offering from TM. I love the looks of the superquad however if this driver can hit me more fairways I would have no reason to say no!!!!

Any information as to who has this in play at the Buick??!!

My $.03..

1. While its great to finally see some pics of the top, side, all views... why did you take them in a dungeon with no light? Is it in some secret lair somewhere? :man_in_love:

2. Why do guys that play Callaway drivers always want to see the end of TM? Callaway has just as many as TM and more expensive last I checked. BTW- I'm playing a Callaway now, converted from TM and this one does nothing asthetically for me.

3. It looks like the same shape as the CGB? Some piece of that head, I don't know which one, is the same one as on the CGB but painted a different color. Is the entire the crown the same as the CGB? I like the look of the 07 BurnerTP better and I actually liked the crown graphics. It'll be a while before I have a chance to hit one as nobody around here is going to unwrap a $900 driver for a demo. How much is it going to be? My guess is $500 for the Reax shafted one and $900 for the TP with a Whiteboard. I'll buy another car first. :D

I could care what anything looks like on the bottom. I don't get why everyone cares. It matters what the shape is and whats on top. Im starting not to like the half moon after demoing a g10. An all black may be my thing. Who knows.
