, loving watching the good ship taylormade go down the crapper, adios

Yeah, I'm sure one driver (that no one has even touched yet) will be enough to bring down the empire that is Taylormade Golf, LOL!

Its funny how all the haters don't have TM Drivers. Imagine that.....

Everyone one is entitled to their own opinion and its a wonderful thing especially on this board.

The early returns on tour is that this driver has been one of the easiest for the Tour players to transition to in recent memory. It only remains to be seen how many will be in the bags by the first major. A TM staff player has already said that he hits it a little longer than his TM TP Burner gamer. This was shared with the participants at the recent TM sales meeting in SoCal.

TM was the number one driver last year on tour and on the retail level. This ship isn't sinking anytime soon. But feel free to keep wishing.

Many thanks for the pics, the early pics I had only showed the bottom sole view. We really appreciate seeing the whole club.

Taylor Made has been on fire for years. Making some of the best equipment you can buy. The deep faced drivers that came out after the 300 series in my opinion were the best drivers available.

Taylor Made knows how to make good equipment and will be doing so for years. The driver market is tough. Staying #1 every year is a tall order. No doubt this Burner will be an excellent driver. I cant wait till players can actually hit the thing. All of our comments are on brand loyalty and ascetics alone. Lots of VERY passionate members here.

Lets see how is plays and how the buzzz will be after the demo and member reviews start coming in.

This has really grown on me!!! After the first time I hit the 907 D1 the shape did not bother me in the slightest so this should be no problem for me to look down on!!!! Just now need to decide to what to shaft to shaft one of these up with!!!

Tour Burner (TP) is 450cc, black crown.

non-TP has proprietary Fuji Superfast 60g

TP has 3 stock shaft choices - Matrix X-Con5, Diamana Whiteboard 65, Rombax 75.

seems like the TP shafts are OEM versions and not the same as aftermarket.

$399 for Tour Burner, $599 for Tour Burner TP and $999 for CGB Limited.

No offense but this has so much to do with marketing and so little to do with real performance. Not your post drpino, I meant this whole topic. What are they giving us? What is unique over the burner last year?

Taylor Made what happened to you? You used to be innovators and would push the envelop. Now you are so committed and stubborn. Refuse to go square and I think still singing the R7 tp cast is better than anything? I know why TM likes cast... Cost. Cast is cheaper. Your tour players arnt even using them and we know they are pressured. The tour players are all over the forged cb's and the Mb's after that. I know a few players that wanted to play the Japan forged heads and TM said nope.

As for this attempt to save there driver market.... The burner is another great round heard. I will but it in the same batch as the 07 burner, superquad, and 460. Same old thing different dressing. Same as the Adams, Ping, Cally, Title. MP-600, Tour Edge, Cobra, Cleveland.

It's all branding now. You keep tee up money flowing and we see everyone with those Burners in the bag and the lemmings will follow. I hope we as consumers can see through this.

Give us innovation. You did for the spider. Why is it you love MOI on the greens but hate it off the tee? Give us a square TM with 5900 MOI. I got news for you. You cant make us believe the designs on this head are worth a change over the old stuff.

Its called good business plain and simple. EVen the smaller companies Bridgestone, Nickent are putting out new drivers each year.

Whats to say that square is better than the triangular shape TM is producing now??? There is nothing to say that 5900 MOI is for everyone either. I think the improvemnet in teh new burner comes with a slight improvement in the head and good improvement in the shaft hence helping the head perform as it was meant to.

I have the current Burner TP and it works great. Will I at least try it before knocking it yes and if it works ill get it.

If you want to believe in anything go try it out until then dont knock it.

I was able to hit the driver yesterday and will be testing it a little bit more today. The driver launches higher and with less spin than the old Burner. It feels pretty solid and the TP version was really nice. Although it looks like a lovechild of a Nike Sasquatch and a Titleist D1. I was also able to hit the Burner tour iron. The name Burner Tour is not refering to how hard they are to hit since they are really easy to hit. It is more as TM said it. The name is trying to make the guy that wants to play a tour product feel like he's doing that since the name is tour.

Rep brought in the samples of all the new clubs today, tried out the TP with the Whiteboard 65

WOW. This thing is unreal, I was just about ready to order my Mp-600, which has about 5 yards on my Ft-5, and this thing was flying the 600 by 10-15 (simulator)

Unreal feel and ballspeed, the shaft is awesome too

Can't wait to try it outdoors

That rounded sole looks like Driver off the deck material...

I went to the TM I have now when my buddy got one and I had to start hitting first on the approach shot... Now that I am back in the distance lead, if he gets one (I guarantee it) and I have to hit first I know I will too...

To a large extent, I don't care what the club looks like, does it work better than what I have? Will it lead to lower scores? Funny to me that the looks are such a big issue and for some the ONLY issue. What do you do? sit around and pose with your clubs? As long as I can stand to look at the top of it for 5 seconds while I am setting up without puking who cares...

It actually looks alot less hideous in person...even with the matte grey sample top

it sets up clean compared to the spiderman crap on the current burner, the pointy end gives some symmetry (the CGB limited sets up nice too, other than the red *puke*)

Its crazy long.

p.s. the headcover looks like trash. Hope the magnetic TP one is better.

We are going to continue to hear this is a great head. Very low spin high launch from memory. Tadd Fujikawa said he loves his. "Gives me so much confidence to swing hard".

Easyyy, can you confirm if there is going to be a matching fairway wood and hybrid to the driver?

This is my first post here. I currently play a burner tp 9.5 and think it is the best looking driver to date. This new tour burner does not appeal to me at all. The lines do not look good at address whatsoever. I liked the sasquatch tour with the dual crown it blended very well and had a clean look to it. The tp version should have been the regular and a tp should have been more pleasing to the eye. I am currently looking at the mp-600 and the f 60's as they are the best looking fairways ever produced. Taylormade definateley came up short this time, for which I am let down.
