Greater Palm Springs Area JOBS and Value Golf

Hi,

Relocating to Palm Springs area. Open to settle anywhere up to 30ish mins West on 10 or 30mins down the valley. In Palm Desert right now.

Here's what I want in my perfect world: To work at a course maximum 20-25hrs/week, 2-3 days a week, preferably just saturday/sunday but could add another day. And I want to be able to get off-peak free play and practice facility access (free range balls) when I'm not working. I know, I know. But I'm a commodity right now as nobody wants to work and the busy season is here. Would also like to not be treated like crap by management. If the facility allows employee play at more than 1 track, that's a bonus. If it's not got houses on it, even more of a bonus. I know I'm being picky but we have 125+ courses to choose from and need to narrow it down 🙂 ... also preference for a lighted range

Or really just any suggestions on sweet places to work and get some kind of golf benefits on top of pay. I've done food/bev before and could again if it came with golf privileges but prefer to work weekends / during the day so some kind of outside services job probably. Having to talk to people less and just do something menial like drive a picker or haul bags and greet people preferred to having to really deal with drawn-out conversations or be stuffed inside all day.

The only other thought is caddying? Any places around here to caddie?

Finally, job aside, what are the deals or places to look for anything along the lines of a "players card" type deal that they have in other cities, or some cheap membership-type stuff that can get me some value courses and cheap/unlimited range time perhaps. Also preference for lighted range.

Thanks in advance for all info. I can't pay $100/rd 5x/week. Are there any courses that are suitable (don't need WOW-factor) that can be gotten down in the $30-$40 range or is that just not happening in socal in-season? Where do the non-retiree local degens hang out?
