Private Ski Lessons - Breckenridge

Hi! Am wondering if there is anyone out there who knows anything about private 1-on-1 ski lessons in the Breckenridge area? Will be there in the near future and have always wanted to learn how to ski, and learn the right way. And I’d prefer not being one of many in the typical ski schools, am willing to pay for private lessons.

I haven't been to Breck in years but I learned to ski there back when Breckenridge was a four block-long town (early 70s), and I learned by taking private lessons. I was really lucky. Dad wanted me to learn to ski and was willing to spend the money even back then. I had a full day private lesson one day for the first four years we went to Breckenridge on vacation and by the fourth year I could ski anything that had snow on it.

We started our girls in ski school group lessons at Breck, but we quickly moved each of them to privates when it was clear that skiing was something they enjoyed.

If you really want to learn spend the money for private lessons. As an adult learning to ski, privates are the only way I'd go. Learn to fall. Learn to get up. Then learn to turn. Do at least one full day private then see where you are.

If there was one thing I could choose to do every single day it wouldn't be golf. I'd ski the morning half of the day every single day and everything else would just be a bonus. There is nothing like it.

This is the one thing I miss living in Florida. I was on National Ski Patrol for 5 years. Upon entry, after the Outdoor Emergency Care class, we had ski lessons 8 hours a day every Saturday and Sunday for the entire season. At the end of the season I could out ski the ski instructors. I got good enough that I could ski one ski on a diamond slope from top to bottom. Definitely take lessons. It'll make the learning curve much steeper. Have fun.
