Complete set of Royal golf clubs

Looking to find out what a complete set of Royal golf clubs is worth. The 1, 3 and 5 woods are wood/steel?

There is a set of Royal Plus 6 (shaft over hosel) irons for sale on eBay, about to end. $20. No woods, though. They were laminated, probably another $20 for them.a

 

forgot I had a set if these. got them about 1972 or so.

I just about bit on a set of Royal blades a couple of year back.  They looked like the set in the picture - specifically the second from the top and the bottom one.  I thought they were gorgeous but the seller wanted a bit more than I was willing to pay ($200 cdn if I remember correctly) so I passed.

Royal golf clubs were from Uniroyal Tire company. They were around in the 60’s until the 70’s. Never really gained much of a following. $200 cdn is wa-a-ay overpriced, even if it was a matched set in pristine condition. (The set in the picture looks like the heads are in great condition and shapes are similar, but the logos obviously don’t match.

Wa-a-ay overpriced?  Maybe.  I know it was somewhat so for me but not too crazy for a pristine matched set of nice blades in my opinion.  Contrast that with $1700 for new Taylormade P790's and it starts to look like a pretty sweet deal.  Each to their own though.

These are 50 years old. You can get 10 year old clubs for that $200. Since it is not a matched set, the collector value would be pretty low.

The set he was referencing was a matched set. He was just using the photo provided for illustration purposes. He also passed on the asking price. Read the post again.

Yeah I get what your saying and you're right too.  I just like 50 year old clubs that's all.  Call me funny that way.  😄

If I'm not mistaken those blades were forged in the Hoffman foundry in the '70s. They have the look. Especially the 5 & PW.
