And the winner is...

The Cleveland Launcher Ti 460! You guys were right about the Bridgestone. It was the most solid feeling driver in the store. It just wasn't performing for me. My numbers on the launch monitor were below average, but it was without a doubt the best looking and feeling driver of them all. Too bad I couldn't hit it well! The Launcher was by far the best driver for me. The monitor numbers were head and shoulders above everything else I hit. It felt good and the looks were very nice too. Much better than the old battleship grey and gold Launcher. I really like the navy head and silver and blue trimmed shaft. Yeah the stock shaft fit my swing best. I was surprised there too. The Launcher wasn't even on my "wish list" when I went in. I wanted a Bridgestone, SQ, or Cobra Speed. The numbers on the monitor don't lie. The Nike was the worst driver in the group. Looks aside, it just was not that good for me. I'm sure it works for some, just not for me. The new Nicklaus driver was very good too. Some of you guys should check it out. Thanks for all the great feedback and response to my post! It helped me out a lot. I picked up a Nickent 3DX hybrid while I was there too. Great hybrid and much cheaper than others. Looks like I'm set for 2006!
Oh yeah, lots of guys say get fit on a launch monitor before purchasing. I will totally agree. I got the club that was best for me and it didn't cost any extra $$$. Thanks again guys.

Sounds like a great sicess story. Knowing that you made the right decision through a fitting (launch monitor) keeps all the doubt at bay. Congrads on your new purchase!

Hey! Don't bash the old launcher, the thing is my homeboy, you might make him cry!!!!

 

I like my old Launcher 460 for now, not with that crap gold shaft though. I figure I'll get this new one in 2 years, or what ever other driver Cleveland has in that time. Cleveland will always have a sale with me, their woods are just so great, they fit me perfect.

 

I'm interested: Is this one longer than the COMP version? On clevelands website, they said the comp was the longest of all their drivers, and even for their fairway woods. Is this true, or are they trying to get you to buy the higher priced club?

I agree with you on the new launcher ti 460 I purchased one with a speeder 757 stiff 9.5 and this thing is perfect and even got it for a great price :cheesy:

I recently picked up a Ti460 with ProLaunch shaft....it's a very solid driver. Good length, workable and has a large sweet spot. It's a very balanced driver and I too am very happy with it. The COMP gets a lot of love, but I really like this setup and I got it for less than $200 new.
