Shafts Seeking Shaft replacement suggestions for Apex UW 19’

Hey guys.. looking for advice

 

Bought a secondhand apex uw at19 degrees that came with 80g 6.0 smoke black Rdx shaft.

 

love the club head but need an X/TX shaft.

 

looking for some real world recommendations on replacing the shaft with something that has low or mid launch and tight dispersion.

ps. Have a ventus black(6X) in driver and  graphite design HD (7Tx) in 3W. Enjoy both.

I just bought a 17* UW with a Ventus Black 7x (same as my driver) to try against my 17* with the RDX Smoke Black 6.0 and really didn't find much difference. My swing speed is really low (100-105 driver) so that may be why I don't notice much difference in distance or dispersion.

Tour AD UB. Your current HD may be a good fit as well. 
 

I play the Tour AD UB and DI in my 2 Apex UW’s.

 

17* = DI 7x

21* = UB 7x

 

The UB is very close to the HD when I read through the GD charts and reviews. I play the IZ 6x (most of the year) and 6s (winter) in my 2 Epic Speed driver heads as well. I just put in a UB 7x in my Epic Speed 3 wood about 2 months ago based off the performance in the 21* UW head. The UB ball flight for the 3W and 21* UW is a mid trajectory and dispersion is very tight for me. I may add the UB into my 17* in the future. The DI in my 17* was my first GD shaft last November. This shaft does help me launch the ball with 17* UW like the IZ does in my driver heads. The UB has been a great shaft these past several months between the 21* UW and 3W.

Just use whatever you use in your 3W. The main UW thread is filled with people who had lots of success doing that. The head itself isn't particularly low or high launch, it acts more or less as a small headed fairway wood and is usually played as such.

Agree with matching with your FW, but I highly recommend going with a heavier (90g+) shaft.

i like the idea of matching the 3W shaft for the APex UW, but 10g or so heavier.

I have Tensei White 75-X in Rogue ST LS 3W & Tensei White 85-X in Apex UW. Didn't love the HZRDUS Black in Apex UW.

My 17 UW is my favorite club in the bag. Question, with a bonded shaft, did you guys with premium shafts buy them with the shaft, or did you have them switched out? Also wants to know if it’s possible to bend my 17 to a 19
