Dove Mountain & Ventana Canyon??

Has anyone had any luck finding discounted tee times at either Dove Mountain or Ventana Canyon?

I'm heading out to Tucson for our annual golf trip on 1/11 and I don't see either course on GolfNow. Last year we were able to snag some afternoon Hot Deals times at DM for ~$125-$150 and I recall seeing Ventana on there as well. Now it looks like all the DM tee times are the full rate for the entire day and you have to call the Ventana pro shop for a time. I thought DM was good (bolstered by the phenomenal conditions) and Ventana was a nice change. But I'm not sure I'd pay $250+ for any of the three courses.

DM and Ventana had some hotdeals plus regular-priced times on GolfNow/Teeoff over the summer but it appears they have stopped using GolfNow/Teeoff completely as you mentioned. I was supposed to play DM in December at a $160 rate from DM's website (rates went up for January) but unfortunately got rained out. I haven't seen discounted times for either course anywhere else, and Ventana's "call the shop" method bugs me because if I'm going to pay what they are charging, I want to see how full or empty the tee sheet is ahead of me.

100% agree. Do you know what Ventana is charging for the non-member rate? If its $200+ I'll stick with Sewailo

I have no idea what they are charging now, I saw the "call the shop for tee times" and said forget it.

Absolutely - the views are not the same of course, but the course design and conditions are equal.

Yep, I'd take Sewailo over both courses at Ventana every time. Views aren't as good but the course is way more enjoyable (besides #10 at Sewailo, worst designed hole in Arizona).

I saw your best finishing hole list, #18 at Stoneridge would top the worst finishing hole list, if not the worst hole in Arizona.

I hate Stoneridge, one of the worst layouts in the state, just a mess of holes that ruined the land it sits on.

Concur - it is the worst finishing hole in AZ golf and indeed would come close to the worst hole period. I now need to have a think if there is a worse hole overall?
