How good are the Kyoei wedges?

I'm leaning towards the Arakenma in soft black or the proto wedges.   Anyone with experience, please chime in.

I haven't hit either of the Kyoei models you mentioned  But I do have some Vega wedges (which are forged by Kyoei) in my garage (VW-10, VW-06 and VW-04).   52*, 56* and 60* are all represented across multiple models.

 

These feel as good as anything else I've hit.  Proper forged wedges.  For comparison, I also have a set of Grindworks "Barrett" wedges (forged by Endo).  And I've hit my buddy's Miuras.  

 

The Vegas have a similar feel to the Grindworks, and both feel softer than the Miura.  Turf interaction of the Vegas is really good, and the spin (especially the raw models) is "hop and stop" on many good swings.

Thank you!!  I will report back if I end up pulling the trigger on these.  $350 each plus shafts will be a bit hard to swallow unless they are really special.

I have a Vega raw 60 custom ground by Joe Kwok. Absolutely love it!  
 

I didn’t know anything about them at the time, just wanted Joe to match the grind of an old proto wedge I had. I did a little research and found that Kyoei forged it. It is super soft and felt so good on full swing shots. 
 

I ended up buying the 2023 KK wedge in 52 and 56. Just started gaming them. They are very soft with a great feel. Really like them so far!
