Spornia Eating Up Balls

Overall, love the SPG-7. Recently ordered an SPG-8 to upgrade, the SPG-7 cuts off some of the projector images in my space and I would like to see it all.

The only flaw I have with the SPG-7 is that it's on my bare garage floor. The ball catcher does not cushion the landing enough and my balls look like they hit they cart path 10,000 times... I am switching from Garmin R10 to Rapsodo MLM 2 and I would assume I Can't have the black dots get scratched.

Looking at buying this from home depot to put under the Spornia to give the ball some scrape protection. Anyone have a concern this wouldn't get the job done?

I think that’s fine, but go on Amazon and purchase some interlocking pads. Maybe enough to get you out at least a few feet and put them under the turf. Might even try something that more cushioned.

Yep, I bought a 12'x12' piece of astroturf from Menard's to roll up and out for my hitting area. Works perfectly to absorb the bounce so balls don't go flying all over the place and prevents the concrete from chewing up the balls. Can't remember the exact brand I went with, but it does have the traditional woven backing that most carpet does and has held up pretty well with constantly being rolled up over the last 4 years. No need for the interlocking foam pads underneath as long as the turf has a decently stout back face.

Exactly why I don’t want tiles. Rolling and unrolling is way easier between uses

I have those EVA foam jigsaw pieces beneath my turf. Not fast to set up/tear down, if that’s what you’re looking for, but not permanent, or one giant piece of something.
