PLM w/o sim?

Sorry if this has been hashed out a thousand times. Tried reading back a few pages and didn't see anything specific on this.  Basically it boils down to this:

 

Wanting something in the sub-$1k range that will show me accurate(ish) ball speed, swing speed, launch angle, etc. Would like an app so mass data can be stored, so I know this excludes the PRGR. The SC4 looks interesting based on the limited information out there, and I've read a ton about the Rapsodo and GarminR10. The thing is - I don't really care about the sim portion of the LM right now. It will be used on the range and in the winter months (Illinois) in my garage into a net/screen depending on what will give me better reads. 

 

Is something like the SC300i going to give me what I'm looking for and I'm just paying extra for the sim feature I don't care about with the MLM(2)/R10/SC4? Or are the readings going to be better as well?

 

Any other suggestions I'm missing I'm all ears because I'm a little overwhelmed with the info out there

If all you care about is swing speed, ball speed and launch angle, then yes, the SC300i will give you what you are looking for.  If you want to know horizontal launch angle then the SC4 can help there.  If you want to know spin data then you can use the MLM2 Pro.  That device will not give you spin data outside but rather only inside with the RPT balls.  

I have the GarminR10 and I Have to say it is nice to have a screen with a driving range look and feel on it to see ball flight in the garage.  I also use GSPro in the garage and it makes practice way more fun.
