Yeah there’s a few holes that kinda all have a general area where you can see different holes. Excited to go back after being there in 2014

Don’t forget big Mark Brooks

Mark Brooks was a very solid PGA Tour player. 7 wins including a major is pretty good.

Valhalla as a course gets plenty of criticism. However outside of Mark Brooks the players that have won a PGA Championship there are pretty stout. Tiger & Rory. For the seniors Hale Irwin & Tom Watson. USA also won a Ryder Cup there.

I wasn’t knocking the course, although many do.  Just don’t forget my man Mark Brooks

I know you weren't knocking the course. Many others do when Valhalla hosts the PGA events/RC.  As I stated Brooks had a solid career. Better than most people here would ever give him credit for. Nearly won a second major at the US Open played at Southern Hills. All that said Valhalla has a way of producing top flight winners.

It was a tough loss for Perry in his hometown.

Mark Brooks won 3 times on the PGA Tour in 1996, so it was not a completely out of the blue win.

Kenny isn't from Louisville.  Let's go home state instead.

I was there in 2011 walking with Kenny when Tom Watson won the Senior PGA in a playoff.

I don't recall a great spot to watch several holes at one time.  That course sort of meanders across the property.  There was a large tent area to the left of 14.  We sat to teh left of 13 and 14 tee and were able to watch shots into 13 and tee shots at 14.  4-5-7-and 8 are sort of all in the same area but I don't recall there being grandstands in there.  18 green is in a bowl.  I suspect they will put stands there as opposed to just having you sit in the grass.

I grabbed practice round tickets for my best hopes at seeing Tiger play for the first time.  😂  It will be more a golf trip for me and a few friends tbh.  Tuesday practice round, Sultans Run in Indiana on Wednesday, and probably a course near Indianapolis on Thursday.  Can't wait.  It will be my first PGA event to attend.

Sultan's Run isn't a bad course.

I love it.  I try to go there every year.  I live 2 hours from Jasper.

Been several, several years since I had been there.  Only bad thing I will say about it was they must have a membership deal there and that seems to entitle those folks to do as they please and be a pain to other groups trying to play.

I loved their bunker design and the crushed stuff they had in them.  Seemed like a good mix of hole lengths and elevation changes.

I have never had that issue there.  But that may be because I typically catch twilight deals vs peak play rates.

It's a course that anyone can play.  Not too long or short.  You don't have to be elite with driver.  Elevation and green speed/undulation can make it difficult.  But I have never seen it in poor condition.
