Korean Golf Reality Show

Lately, the wife has gone buck friggin wild on the Korean shows on Netflix, so that got me thinking.. I would most definitely watch a reality show with Jin Young Ko. She seems camera friendly too. I don’t see how this could hurt ladies golf. Might not blow up like Formula 1 did because of their show, but Korea is the very best in the world at ladies golf,, let’s see some shows.

 

This is a good idea or not to everyone here?

It already exists 😁

 

LPGA "All Access" pretty much fills this void. 

 

If you want your fix I'd recommend Na Yeon Chois YT channel which would regularly feature golfers from the KLPGA. JLPGA. and LPGA

Appreciate the suggestions. I will definitely check those out. Wouldn’t a Netflix show increase their audience by huge amounts though. At least here in the states. Americans are eating up these Korean shows.

The All Access show is sort of like Full Swing on Netflix but more narrative driven plays more like something you'd watch at 2am on golf channel after a Feherty re run. 

 

Yes Netflix just signed a big $$ deal to produce more Korean entertainment. My niece is usually the one watching all of those dramas, I enjoyed the show 100 Physical though I read the ending was rigged.  Also the original 'Oldboy' if one of my favorite films of all time, although I probably wouldn't recommend that with your wife 😂

Looked up Oldboy. She knows no bounds. She’ll watch it.

I think it’s a great idea. Something like Jin mentoring young golfers to train then play in a tournament with the prize to then travel with her to play an LPGA or KLPGA event 

 

im not sure Jin would be up for it though . She handles herself well on camera but I get the feeling her and most players don’t enjoy giving interviews/feel very self conscious . DK manages to be great on camera while also making it plain she hates it

i this we will need to "make do" with Coach Lee Si Woo's training camp videos (alongside JYK's own youtube videos on her channel), to see JYK's mentoring of young pros.

A few months ago I saw a show on YouTube with Ha Neul Kim, a male Korean golfer and I believe an Aussie instructor where they were helping Junior golfers develop. 

 

There was also a show with Asian golfers vying for a spot on one of the KLPGA tours. Malaysian golfers, Michelle Low and Genevieve Ling, were in one season.
