Curiosity about knee flex?

Moreso just wanted to see what people thought about this.... im 5'7", 155 lbs. not a long hitter and my biggest swing fault for years was massive chunks. took some lessons and contact improved but almost ALWAYS hit thin and/or delofted shots but again my contact was much better. can never hold a green with clubs being so delofted.  My swing never really felt comfortable either... felt really "jabby" or like I just wasnt really swinging the club. I started experimenting with hands a little lower at address and swinging the club in all kinds of different stances and everything just for fun. I found someting.... If I flex my knees and get my hands really low, it completely changes the athletic/dynamic movement of my swing. I feel like im actually SWINGING the club and contact again improved as well. Iv watched a lot of posture videos and Im just wondering how much a persons body type and swing affect what is considered proper instruction? most would probably say my knees are too bent and hands maybe too low but it is night and day difference how standing a little taller, no matter where i put the ball in stance or how far I stand away, brings in chunky or bad contact shots. think its just a "so what feels natural" type thing or is there something there? ha

Keegan Bradley's hands are really low and he's bent over quite a bit when he sets up to the ball and it works for him being 6'2".  He also plays his irons at standard length if I remember correctly.  I'm 5'7", 178 and am considered a long hitter and I keep my hands pretty low and stand really close to the ball like Jon Rahm and am a decent ball striker with irons.  If low hands works for you, then keep doing it.

Arms may be hanging more naturally. If you stand too far away from the ball it can cause a lot of issues (I know from experience).  The problem I had with standing too far from the ball was anything else felt too close to the ball.  I then improved my posture a bit and then I could naturally hang my arms down and not feel too close to the ball.  In essence, I wouldn't doubt if you're hands are not as low as you think they are if you were to take a picture.

I've been watching "Scratch to Scratch" on YouTube (a golfer starts from nothing, and is on a journey to be a scratch golfer) and he's gone to a bunch of coaches.  One of which is Chris Smeal.  They play 9 holes together, and he (the coach) swings exactly like you described.  Super low, his stance looks really wide, hands very low... But he stripes the ish out of the ball and by accolades appears to be a highly decorated coach.  Might be worth watching the on course video and seeing how he swings if it mirrors your recent findings.
