Can someone explain the cog option on callaways site?

No idea what you're referring to - a link might help.

 

But the only thing I can think of where "standard" "flat" or "strong" might be an option for a driver is that Callaway has had those options available for adapters to tour players.  Maybe they are now offering them as custom orders for the general public.  But it has nothing to do with the center of gravity.  

 

The "tour flat" adapter allows for a flatter lie angle compared to the standard adapter.

The "tour strong" adapter allows for loft adjustment of -2* to +1*  instead of the standard -1* to +2*.

The standard adapter is just that, the standard adapter.

 

Cog is probably referring to the cogs of the adapter,  not an acronym for center of gravity.

Apparently there are some “tour only” COGs on the tour truck that I’m sure find their way into regular Joe’s hands from time to time. This is probably a question for J Wunder.

They’re now offered directly on the Callaway website and IIRC the flat cog decreases lie angle by .75” and the strong cog was correctly defined by @Stuart_G. There’s no upcharge for different cogs but you have to purchase the shaft directly from Callaway installed on a shaft in order to buy one

I think there are even more besides the flat and strong cog…but I could be mistaken. Callaway is notorious for having secret products. It’s like knowing people that order off the secret menu at a restaurant that you’ve been going to your whole life but never knew existed.
