Heart attack or just out of shape?

Ok. I have a question. After playing this game for over 20 years the only thing about my game that has ever been consistent has been my distances. I've never been a long ball hitter and at times it may not always go where I want it to but my short and mid iron distances haven't changed much. After having a heart attack last year that was fixed with a stent I have noticed that I am almost one full club short all the way through my bag, and my Garmin watch agrees. At 47 years old I am curious if this could be related to the heart attack or if I just need to start hitting the gym more. I am curious if anyone else has dealt with anything similar?

Glad that you were able to recover enough to play golf. My guess is that if you had a heart attack in your 40’s a focused lifestyle adjustment (including dietary changes and more targeted physical activity regiments) are in order. I’ve always been on the huskier side of the spectrum and I started working on my heart health, through a cardiologist, recently. The lifestyle but were his words. That said, have you had lessons? You could just be in order of a good tune up. Once you get a decent understanding of your golf issue then you could map out a resolution.
