Early side bend feel

Has anyone had success with feeling they side bend to start the swing?

I was playing around with something imagining i was swinging my driver and something clicked. Im not gonna get too ahead of myself but I think this might be the right feel for me, but im gonna have to test it on the range.

What the feel is I immediately start the downswing with side bending, which slides the hips forward and shallows the club, and then just rotate hard. It seems pretty much impossible for me to sky my driver or woods doing this. (which is my major issue) If you look at my posts and see my swing from face on, you will see how i really yank/steepen the shaft, move my upper body/head about 4-5 inches toward the target, and then last second I drop the rear shoulder and the result usually is snap hooks and pop ups.  If I feel i side bend earlier, I can just rotate through and accelerate my arms with a shallow angle of attack without worrying about getting stuck.

I know a lot of people and instructors here hate the idea of dropping the trail shoulder early, but maybe that could potentially work for me.

You're probably not doing what you feel You're doing.

If your hips are moving forward at the same time You're starting to side bend the trail side then You're just going to stall on your trail side.

An exaggerated trail side bend to start the downswing isn't bad so long as the lead shoulder doesn't go up and the lead hip fly out.  But I wouldn't have that as a focal point...it can help with rotation but it needs to be matched up...lead side earlier being one.

The danger in reading golf forums is that you’re reading advice and opinions that aren’t specifically tailored to you. This creates harmful biases that hinder improvement over the long term.

Most tour players start the process of lowering the right shoulder very early in the downswing. Dan Carraher has given thousands of online lessons advising amateurs to lower the right shoulder.

I’m not saying this move is correct for you because I haven’t seen your swing, but your misses are one piece of evidence that it could be the right thing.

Look at my recent posts, you'll see a few videos of my swing

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
