Not likely to hit mine at this point, they are new #903.  They are beautiful but I'm old enough to have played this stuff when it came out and I was younger.  I'll just continue playing current muscle backs with a shaft I can use easier.  It's really hard to find any reference to these so I put up what I had for mainly the written reference material they came with.

A 36 1/2" 38degree seven iron.  I can't help but wonder how many oversized egos raised on hollow trampolines would give up golf if they had to play clubs like this.  Funny part is overall scores retain the same average to this day.

Ken Venturi overcame so many things in life but the 1958 corrupt ruling in Palmer's favor at The Masters never did the recognition it deserved.   He sure gave us a huge amount of enjoyment as a commentator later in life.

Loft for length these irons are only one club off the new P7MB irons from TM.  Many vintage irons are two or even three club numbers away from modern equipment so these aren't all that different although I know where you're coming from.  That number on the bottom means a lot to people I guess.  Everyone wants "Players distance" irons these days, whatever that means.  Personally I have no problem hitting a 6-iron when my playing partner is hitting a 9 but a lot of folks feel intimidated by that is seems.  I'd soooo love to play your Venturi irons...  Very nice set sir!

I have a used set of #1-PW.  They are quite possibly the most solid irons I have ever hit and I have hit nearly everything.
