Resale value of Used Irons?

I'm not selling my irons here, I'm just wondering about used irons prices. I currently have zx4 irons and while they're great, they're too bulky and I'm getting better. I'm looking to upgrade to the zx 5 or 7s. An issue is that they are custom with +1 inch. Does anyone have an idea of the resale value of irons? I'm newer to golf so I'm completely oblivious to this. Any input would be appreciated.

Check eBay completed listings.  You’ll list them here for what you see on eBay and just get lowballed or zero interest and have people want it shipped free.  Best of luck

You can search site for your irons trade-in values.  This site bases its estimates on recent used club sales.  You can usually get a little more if you sell them yourself vs. trading them in at a store.

Used iron prices obviously vary widely. 

 

Standard L/L/L with stock shafts will always sell most readily on the open market - but for moderate prices depending on model. 

 

Custom jobs can get premium prices - or be totally unsellable. Changes to L/L/L, as well as custom shafts will narrow your market.

 

Finally, sometimes you can happen to have the "hot" set of irons. Something currently desirable or a cult classic. Every now and again you can get a premium price for those rare finds. 

 

Other than that, ROI decreases rapidly with every swing.
