Golf Trip in February, Best Courses?

My buddies and I have a golf trip in February.  Landing on a Thursday morning and leaving early Sunday.  That gives us at least 3 days of golfing.

 

So far, my buddy came up with the following courses that we are considering:

 

-Normandy Shores

-Crandon Golf 

-Pine Tree (Boynton Beach)

-Seminole Golf

-Jupiter Hills

-Plantation Reserve

 

Last year we played at Miami Shores and Jacaranda.  We wouldnt mind playing there again if those are the best options, but we would prefer to play new courses.  Not looking for the cheapest (though I wouldnt mind lol) but also not wanting to pay something crazy like 500+ per round.

 

Let me know what you think of what we have so far or what courses you recommend!

You didn't say which airport you are landing at, but I assume it's either Miami or Ft Lauderdale.

 

Seminole, Jupiter Hills and Pine Tree are private clubs. If you have access to those places you should play them. If you need another player, I'd love to play Seminole and Jupiter Hills.😎

 

Crandon, Plantation Reserve and Normandy Shores are public. The only one of those three I've played is Crandon and it's one of the better courses in the area.

 

I don't know if your dates are flexible or if it's in your budget, but the Marriott Turnberry Isle resort in Aventura has a few days in Feb where room rates start at $300/night or two guys can share a room (two queen beds) for around $400 (i.e. $200 each) but it's really more than that when  tax and resort fee are added (some days/rooms are more than $7,000/night).  Not sure what the green fees are, but it's worth a call to inquire about a package. It's a high end resort with two very nice golf courses. You have to stay there to play there. You could stay one night, play both courses (either same day or on consecutive days) and then stay elsewhere and play Crandon and/or Jacaranda your other day(s)

Assuming you have the connections the answer is pretty simple - Seminole, Jupiter Hills, and Pine Tree.

Ah gotcha...my buddy compiled the list lol.

 

I'll rework the list so we take out the ones that are private.

 

@sabram we booked the same airbnb we did last year.  Our dates are feb 1-4 and we are landing in FLL.  I'll take a look at Crandon since half the list was impossible to get to lol.

Well, so here is what we got right now:

 

Thursday: Poinciana (practice round or chill round)

Friday: Plantation

Saturday: Either Jacaranda or Abacoa

If you’re coming North to play Abacoa, I would strongly encourage you to check out The Park in West Palm. I think it’s the best public course in the area by quite a lot. It can be pricey, but so can Jacaranda and Abacoa.

+1 for the Park.  They are playing "The Match" on Feb 26th with Mcilroy, Homa, Lexi, and Rose.  It's a refurbished course that reopened last year or so. It's the best public course by far.
