L.A.B. Mezz 1 max

I just got my custom Mezz 1 max and I am really liking it.  This all started when I was at a pgass over Thanksgiving and got to roll all of the models for several hours.  I left the store having a pretty good idea of what my lie angle would be and my length.  I did the remote putter fitting through LAB and they confirmed everything.  I went with the Mezz Max because I liked the extra stability and the top line of the max aided in aiming the putter.  Less than a month after I ordered my putter I had it in hand.  I took it right out of the box and put in in the bag for my 18 hole round.  I really liked the way it rolls.   It is not a magic wand and the person on the other end has to do their part but I do like how easy it was to aim and I am a big fan of the press pistol grip.  The TPT shaft gives great feedback and is incredibly stable.  I am a HUGE fan of TPT and use them in my driver and fairway wood so putting it in the putter was a no brainer.  If you have never tried a TPT shaft you may want to give them a go.  Incredibly stable and consistent.

How are you liking the grip? Is it much bigger than the stock 1.5 press grip? I’ve got one on the way.

I LOVE the grip.  It is the perfect size.  I wouldn't say it is any bigger than the stock 1.5 but it just shaped a little different.  Best feeling grip I have used.  I am so glad I went with this grip so you will not be disappointed.

I’m excited. It’ll be here before a round I’ve got with a good friend of mine. We’re driving to a course he’s never played and I’ve got some new items I’ll be putting to the test.

For your driver and woods, how does the shaft compare to a Ventus or a HZRDS smoke yellow? I love my TPT putter shafts, so I’m curious what it would be like if I switch.

TPT is very smooth and I prefer a more "blue board" feel so I like for it to be a little active.  I play an 18LO in my driver and fairway.  It is a little higher in torque but even when I go after one it stays with me.  They are very consistent and stable.  I find they are extremely repeatable and find myself hitting the middle of the face a lot more often.  I really like how each shaft is specific to the club so the driver shaft is built for driver and the fairway shaft is specifically for the fairway instead of everyone else having the same shaft just cut and tipped to fit a certain club.  The TPT building process is probably the most unique.  Each shaft they make is done by machine so there is never any variances and if you need to order another shaft for a backup you are guaranteed to get the exact safe shaft.  Other manufactures have a certain tolerance so you may get something close to the shaft you have come to love or it could be a little off.  Compared to the Ventus or Hzrds you will find the TPT has slightly more torque (which is not a bad thing) but if you prefer lower torque they have a special range for that in the Nitro range.  I play the red range as my driver ss is about 105-107.  I am beyond happy with the TPT shafts.

You won't be disappointed.  Always fun testing new gear.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
