Snowbirding in the Phoenix area next winter, where to stay

Thinking about trying out the desert next winter. 3/4 months in the Phoenix area. Where to look?

Very broad question my friend. What is your criteria: budget, access, style, etc??

The areas can change fairly dramatically based on these items.

Hmm…still limited info. But will give ideas.

start with Scottsdale: this of course will be the most expensive no matter what. You could look around Troon North, Grayhawk, Wildfire and Legend Trail for places with a bit of remoteness but still near things with a shortish drive.

Next you could do TPC Scottsdale, Kierland, Phoenician, Camelback closer to things in the area that would even be walkable.

if you want a bit of remoteness from things then you could look at Verrado, Vistancia or maybe even Verde River. These are going to be pretty far (relative) from the popular stuff. But nice all around things.

other options would be Wigam(goodyear), raven or legacy (south Phx), Mcdowell(scottsdale), dove valley(n phx).

really far out locations would be Cave Creek, Fountain Hills, San Tan, Estrella.

If I personally go off 5k, I might lean to finding something on Grayhawk for a combo of away, golf and more but still close to a lot of activities/etc.
