Callaway Fulltoe wedge question!

I use 3 wedges. 50 is a f grind that works very well. 58 has a V-sole mid bounce. Happy with both of them! The 54 is a Callaway Fulltoe 54. The thing is I feel that the leading edge sits really high. It is a c-grind 12 degree bounce. And when I open it up it feels like the leading edge sits even higher which I dont understand cause I thought it was designed like the PM wedge to be easy to open up with heel and toe relief. The reason I dont like how high the leading edge is sitting is Im afraid I will top it. Only used it for a month and havent topped many but still. Am I right that it sits high or is that just something in my head? I had a c-grind callaway x forged years ago that felt the same way if I remember correctly.

I don't game the 54 so can't give you a 100% personal experience, but I been gaming both PMs in 60 (and a 56 before) for years now and  visually it can appear to my eye its sitting up but its really not up up: that bounce and grind just wants to slide under. PM 19 had a bit more curve to the leading edge to blend in to my eye, the C grinds look more like the OG PM to me. 

 

I now have replaced the PMs with full tow c grinds from CPO for the up coming seasons and some dec rounds showed they slid under just as expected to me. 

 

Unless I drive my hands forward (terrible technique for most shots) no issues with these so far and while not my beloved PM 60 it'll do 🙂

I had the PM19 and I really loved it in 56. Great in the bunker, great around the green but maybe not perfect on longer shots for me, like over 50 yards. Fulltoe is better on longer shots but I feel its a little less smooth into the ball or in contact with the ball. I will give it a little more time and see if its a keeper 😃
