no longer an UNK 1 wood - identified as an Abercrombie & Fitch 1 wood

I remembered this driver after posting the Butchart woods w/the grain running from face to back....at first, with what looked the grain running from toe to heel, when I saw the pictures...my response was "laminate?????", the key was the shot of the back. If this is a laminate, whoever made it, placed what would have been the top on the face & the insert covers that big circle....hmmmm.

The sole is quite interesting - the logo that is barely visible under normal light, I played w/various photo filters to bring out. There is a circular logo - A&E Co. or A&F Co. or ???. And under that is "hand made". Anyone have any idea whose logo that might be....oh, it says "Hidden Power" on top.

Thanks....I actually remember an A&F in NYC when a wee tot...just looking in the windows, couldn't afford to actually go inside...

Oops...forgot to mention that the shaft has a partial band "Pro F(it)", so would I be correct in guessing this would be an A&F '60s club?
