Long(ish)-Term Review of QI10 LS and Standard

Looking to upgrade my driver head shortly and wanting something that is around 2500 spin. Most of the low spin drivers I've hit recently have a strong fade bias but would like one that turns over a little easier. Granted anything could be adjusted to help a draw, figured I would add that part in. I'd love to hear from LS and core users and what their experiences have been like now that these have been in play for a few months. Based on videos and reviews, the LS seems like an awesome simulator driver that should go in the bag but i've heard rumblings of struggle on course so just want to get the latest. thanks all!

if it helps i'm hovering in the mid 160s (low) and mid 170s (high) and don't launch my driver as high as I'd like (more swing issue than equipment i think).

While I’m not a taylormade guy (don’t like the shaping), I can offer some insight about another brand. Currently playing the callaway Paradym TD set to 8*. With the heavy weight in the back it launches pretty high (too high for me) and spins more than I expected. Not truly a low launch low spin head when the heavy weight is back.

Additionally, the Smoke model is suppose to spin a touch more too. For me, they aren’t fade biased either.

All that to say though, my experience or anyone else’s may not be indicative of your results. What are your average club delivery specs (CHS, club path, face to path and attack angle)? Knowing how yours compare to theirs (and what launch monitor they use, as Foresight and track man numbers can be a touch different) will give you a better idea if you stand to have similar results.

I deliver the club about 116-118mph, about 1 degree out to in, usually a degree or less club face open to path and 2-3 degrees up.

I've heard other says the paradym TD is one that has a hair of left in it. Seriously considering this as an option. Only thing making me not pull the trigger is rumors of a TD AI Smoke Max coming out in the next few months. Club deliver specs (120mh, path 1-3 deg in to out, attack angle 1-2 up) - these are approximations as I haven't measured in months but will soon. Can leave the face open a bit with driver and hit push fades or blocks most of the time.

I'm around 115 mph. For many years I was a stock draw driver guy. But, I was fit last year for the Stealth 2 Plus with Ventus TR Black 6X. In the fitting and for a long time afterward, I couldn't draw it consistently, but could hit it straight or with a controlled fade, which I liked, and I used that as my stock drive. After a while (like 9 months), I got to where I could draw it really well and started hitting that as stock again. Well, the head had an issue and TM made it right by sending me a Qi10LS head, which I just switched into my same Ventus TR Black 6X shaft. Now, I am in the same situation I was in at first with the Stealth 2 Plus head - I cannot draw it consistently, but am hitting it well either straight or with a controlled fade. Who knows, maybe several months from now the draw will come back into my game. Maybe it has to do with the weight of the head, and my body's gradual adjustment to it over a long period of time.
