My understanding is the test results aren’t to show any specific tyoe of player whats best for him/her but what club performed best for the largest percentage of testers

So it can be w starting point for someone going into a big box store and choosing off the rack, which is still the way most clubs sre purchased.

I don't think P7MC is a good starting point for any golfer buying from a big box store purchasing something off the rack because they saw it ranked as 9.5 for both accuracy and forgiveness.

A 20 handicap isnt going to be lookokg for players irons.  A single digit will.

But you are not a variety of player types. You are yourself.

And none of the other media outlets, individual testers, robots, or online fitting tools are me.  I simply feel like I get a better starting point when looking at results from a variety of golfers.    You don't like the way MGS tests; that's fine, other people think it is a good approach.

They do not provide the data of  who was in the testing

"For player’s irons, we have 20 testers. Since player’s irons are marketed to highly skilled or low-handicap golfers, our testing pool includes golfers who fall under this demographic."

They don't define what a highly skilled or low-handicap golfer is in their test. Some people define it as 0-4hc others 0-7hc some may define it as 0-14hc. Some players have the ball striking ability of a 5 but drive and chip like a 30 so are an 18 handicap.

I don't know why some of you are completely missing my point.

I have no issue with the testing MGS have done. I have an issue with them not providing us info on each tester and allowing the filtering of data based on that so we can personalise the data to suit an individual and give us a great understanding of how something may perform for the individual.

not missing you point.  If you knew a testers info, how do you know that the club configuration was good for the player?   Just because the tester performed well or poorly with the provided stock configuration doesn’t mean it is the right or wrong club for you.   What if no tester was like you?  This is why I don’t care about the tester info.   The test is intended to provide a general overview of how clubs perform over a wide variety of golfers.   While it only includes drivers, their fitting app is designed to do what you want,  enter some swing characteristics and it tells you which drivers worked best for the pool of testers that had similar characteristics as you.  Maybe one day it will include irons and other clubs.

The scientific method we all learned in middle school teaches that you need a “control” and to present your methodology. Here’s the simple solution: MGS lists every testers swing speed/ball speed (smash), AOA, and swing path. Then show how every club performed with the robot (the control). Done.

I’ve reached out to them twice via their Comment section.  Both times it goes to moderation for approval but gets cut without explanation?  Here’s my latest attempt:

Ha that is me on the comment below. I usually get my comments denied on MGS so was surprised it actually went through.

I was not aware of a post made just for this lol

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
