Jbeam and Baldo drivers?

Can't find a lot of reviews of either. Wondering if anyone has experience with any/all somewhat recent models. Particularly interested in how they sound.

JBeam 435 Black is louder than average, but not too bad.

 

Grandista RS-D has a nice sound.  It’s not a muted sound like you get in a foamed head, but it’s a quiet “ting”.

Baldo TT GT1 has dense, solid sound and feel.  Definitely lower-pitched like a foamed head, but instead of foam, it has an internal structure inside the head to dampen the sound.

I have three JBeam drivers, KZ-5 Black Edition driver with Loop proto GK shaft, ZY-9 with Fuji Platinum Speeder and ZII with Mitsubishi DIamana X 2017 shaft. They all have a soft springy feel, with a ping sound. They are the best feeling drivers that I have hit. As long as anything when hit flush. None of them are very forgiving on mishits. They are very good looking, excellent paint jobs, no sight dots on the head. Zy-9 and ZII have very deep faces.

Was taking a look at the KZ-5, as it looks exactly like a previous Bridgestone I had, (J715). Should have never got rid of that one. Only driver I wish i had never moved on from. Particularly interested in this model:

I've had few. I think my favorite was ZY-8 great sound and performance. Crazy 435 LE was good too but sounded little bit louder.

ive played jbeam for eons.
the 425 tour was my  all time fave  but that got axed so the 435 has been the pick for me, always come back  to it.
435 black i just took the shaft out of as it didnt match the  heads feel i was looking for .
 its VERY stout /solid impact.
need a fair  bit of oomph to activate it properly ,  its not a beginners   driver.
435 black  has a very  sexy  look    but i prefer the  older 435 in play  .

have a cpl of  them , diamana stinger, diamana blue , diamana X.

very hard for me to get this to draw/hook , its always straight to fade.
low launch as well.

if u play on fast short grassed fairways , its magnificent.

90%  of  my longest ever single drives have been with this head , agreed its not super  forgiving  left or right  of the centre but high low around  mid , u   get more than you wud imagine.

feel sound is muted. dulled.


tried  a few baldo  products but they  didnt  register at all for me. not one.

That's a gorgeous driver. Looks small, like around 420? Timeless indeed.

I have two ,different, Baldo model drivers.  Both quite deep faced.  Very, very long and low spin on solid hits.  Not the most forgiving, but not the worst either.  If you can hit center face pretty consistently I haven’t found anything that can keep up with them.  Both are slightly fade biased.  They’re pretty good looking to boot.  Sound on either is a lowish thud.  Very similar to the original Ping Rapture in sound if you are familiar with that one.

well, its   not small but looks like  it is  bec the   boxy rounded shape 
comapred to the monstrosities that are the flavour these days its like a 7u   micro utlity.
ths garbage i see in shops these day have heads only a mother cud love , there seems to be  more cut out of  the driver than there is  actually   in it!

what   is it with that ??????

Funny, I did look that up. Seems most Jbeam's are around the 450 mark. Still looking for info. on the J(E)?

I found the Jbeams to feel very Harsh….

but they defo get the ball out there

Yeah. Some sound harsher than others. Their "secret sauce" titanium face does sound louder but newer models with DAT55G sound fine to me.

I think the worst one I've hit was Z II... that thing sounded like aluminum bat smashing an empty can. Or maybe it's counterfit 😄 got it used from golf partner.
