No way! I learn more golfing with you than I do through most of the season!!!

 

I won the tickets on WIP and had forgotten all about them till I got an email from them...

Hey can we do following for the outing since it is getting closer and closer :good:

 

1) head counts (now Pete is out, we have Simp, cdesana, Stee72(2), dlo, and myself), 6 in total, anyone else?

2) Place: still Wedgewood? I have no preference and knowledge whatsoever, so whatever you guys suggested is fine with me.

3) Time: do we decide the time yet? I personally prefer the morning session, though should be flexible.

I think it is best to re-schedule for a couple reasons. Most courses in this area are just not punching the greens, and what sort of outing would we have without Pete anyway?

Medford Village did the greens a few weeks ago. Punched them, then followed that up cutting in Bent Grass Seed twice. I was there last night to practice a little and after rolling them and cutting them today and tomorrow they should be perfect for out first GAP match Sunday morning.

Good luck on Sunday. I am off to Heidelberg to get smoked since I only have one good hand right now. McCall did their greens a few weeks back and should be nice for the weekend.

They'll be punching our greens at Mercer Oaks just in time for our second GAP match :russian_roulette:. I have no idea why they couldn't have done this a couple of weeks ago. That's county golf for ya.

Blue Bell punched their greens the first week in March and they are rolling great now. The new superintendent (former super of Lulu) is making a very positive impact in just the first two months of his tenure at BBCC.

 

Good luck to those playing GAP matches on Sunday. I'll be at Little Mill with the hopes of getting home in time for the back nine of the Masters. BTW, anyone have any clue as to why there is a week off between the 1st and 2nd match this season?

 

Golftitan, I don't want to hijack your thread/outing, but if you are interested in re-scheduling your outing, there were about 5 or 6 of us in the Philly area that were looking at Blue Bell Country Club on June 14. If anyone would be interested the more the merrier. The first tee time would be 11:00 and the cost would be $95.

I've been playing GAP for years and I don't ever remember them taking a week off for Passover. Maybe this year is different because Saturday is the first night?

Hey guys-

 

My best friend tuned me in to wrx and I joined a couple of days ago. I've lived in the Philly area for 3 years and I usually play with myself...I mean I usually play BY myself but would enjoy getting to know more golfers in the area. I'm a college professor and child-free (until November, at least), so my schedule is wide open. I played to an 11 at the end of last season, but that's probably a bit higher right now. If you're open to new guys joining your outings, I'd certainly be interested. If not, that's cool.

I think kthey are working on an outing at Blue Bell Country Club in June, if you do a search for Blue Bell it will probably pop u and I am sure they are looking for more players.

If you go to Wedgwood make sure you go before 2:00 PM. They pull the pins and put in rakes around 6:30 PM.
