What 3 wood?

looking at sonartec, bridgestone

im looking for a new 3 wood. Looking for a good trajectory and good off the deck, forgiveness isn't a concern of mine. I have been looking at teh sonartec np99,ss 3.5, 1.5 and others. Ive also thought about the bridgestone j33. I have a titleist 980f strong and just want something new. Any help would be great

I really like the Kasco's.. ofcourse I have a KP99 now...but they KF-103 I was using previous to that was stupid simple to hit off the deck. The sole design is really that good.

which one.. all that VS tour older stuff is garbage.. DNA's were only ok at best.. I never tried the KF's in driver. I cant stand the K2K stuff either.

I really like my Vsteel, but the Bridgestone J33 compares strong in my stats.

the TEE are solid but i have never played one on the course... i have played sonartec for quite some time and absolutely love them... only thing is that they tend to produce a low, boring trajectory, so they are not really good if you plan on sticking a ball on a green with one... i guess that you can get used sonartecs pretty cheap on ebay/second swing/ golf galaxy

I've tried so many,but when I tried the Tour Edge Exotics,my search was over.Of course ,I installed a new shaft,a Grafalloy Comp NT.This thing is awesome.

If you like that Titleist feel - try a 904F, they're more forgiving than the 980's, and perform wonderfully. A Bridgestone J33 would be my vote, if you like that nice solid, muted Titleist FEEL at impact.

 

Otherwise - the TourEdge Exotics fairway wood is hard to beat. Very hot, feels good, and long.

with my friend's i was able to stop the ball from about 250...ball mark was within 2-3 feet...

 

that is why the club is in my bag now! :)

I have the Sonartec ss-3.5 15 degreee with stock Fujikura Tour Platform 26.3 in stiff flex, and couldn't be happier. They have a strong, boring trajectory and seems to go forever. I have hit the longest fairway woods of my life with this club.

I have a Sonartec ss-07 that kills the ball, but I have it in 15* and it didn't really fit my yardage gaps correctly, but I've had several of the older Sonartecs (ss-03, ss-02, np-99) and I think the 07 to be the best looking and feeling of the group, I mean VJ replaced his FW with these so they gotta be good. If you might be intersted in this just shoot me a PM and we can work something out.

Tour Edge Exotics is the best 3 wood I've ever had or hit, but be prepared to upgrade the shaft. The OEM shaft is a bit soft and light. I found a pullout untipped 757 on e-bay and put it in mine, and it is phenomenal. However, an NV 75 would give you pretty much the same effect at a lower cost, or there are lots of other fine shafts out there. I've never had a longer or more accurate "safe driver" than my TEE 3 wood, and it is quite easy to hit off the fairway, too.
