Long Drive Help

Any guidance or direction would be appreciated...

am not sure where this should be posted or where I could get additional information so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated...

Today I played golf with a good friend of mine for quite some time. He played D1 college golf and was moderately successful having a handful of top 5 finishes in big events. He played the minitours for a year and decided that he should return to school and didn't really have the desire to play tournament golf...

It turns out last year he tried the Remax Long Drive competition and qualified through the first two stages and ended up loosing to Brian Pavlet down at the Finals in Mesquite by only 3 or 4 yards. The thing is, He was just hitting a Titleist 905S driver with a PM 702 X flex shaft tipped about an inch and it was only 44 1/2 inches. He never actually finished college and he just started up again, so he doesn't have a lot of cash to spend. I was hoping someone on this site might know someone who is part of the long drive circut who can either help build a driver for him or put him in contact with someone who might be able to help him build a driver he can hit in the competition. I know it may be a long shot, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask, so if anyone out there is willing to help him or put him in contact with someone who can, please let me know. Thanks.

His best bet is to go to another Remax quali and start talking to people, some are willing to sell off equiptment cheaply or visit the 2 LD forums. www.incepta.ca and www.longdrivers.com. Many new/used stuff there. By the way, losing to Brian is not such a bad thing, hope he took it as a learning experience and learned from it.
