Looking for new driver shaft

Ok, I'm pretty much new to this whole golf thing, only started last year, so please excuse me for not being all that knowledgeable.

I am fairly certain it's time to start looking at a new driver shaft. Up until late, I was content with my driver/shaft combination (SQ tour 8.5°/NV 75-S). I'm by no means a long ball hitter, so I was alright with my driver going 240. That is, until I got my new 3w (SQ2/Mamiya Axiv 6564M). Hit that for the first time the other day, and it goes pretty much the same distance as my driver. That opened my eyes that there might something askew with my driver. I paid a little more attention to my ball flight w/ driver and it seems as if it just falls out of the sky. Harder the swing, the more straight down it falls. The ball flight starts out real nice, it just dies in midair. I plan on doing a launch monitor session towards the end of the week to get actual spin numbers to see just how much I'm putting on it.

So my question is this, I absolutely love the feel of my 3w shaft (it's not stiff enough, though). But I like the low boring trajectory of my NV, just not the swing-a-board feeling. What lines of shafts have the extremely smooth feeling like my AXIV, but the boring ball flight like my NV, but would keep the spin rates down?
